Since 2009, the issue of abuse in institutions has come to the attention of a wider public. The more it became known about the conditions in other institutions and homes, the more we suspected that the Paulinenpflege was probably no exception. Because many of the conditions and external circumstances were the same here as in all other homes. The Paulinenpflege commissioned the Institute for the History of Medicine of the Robert Bosch Foundation with the scientific review of the period from 1945 to 1983. The institute commissioned the historian Dr. Sebastian Wenger with the task. What Mr. Wenger has worked out is depressing and dismaying for all of us who bear responsibility in Paulinenpflege today.
