Family piece at Christmas time

A classic at Christmas time! In this year's family play, the audience is invited to take part and get excited. With lots of music and comedic timing, the two rascals bring life to the stage: as usual, cheeky and in contemporary garb. There will be more than 30 performances up until Christmas Day: on weekday mornings for school classes and on weekend afternoons and, for the first time, on St. Nicholas Eve for families.
“Oh, how often we have to hear or read about bad children!” This is just one of the many famous sayings that have become commonplace. Wilhelm Busch's iconic children's book has shaped generations of children and parents like no other. The Augsburg drama ensemble takes on the famous text and goes on a search: for wit and comedy, but also the anarchic character that is hidden in the two rascals and their opponents.
Designed by Stefan Leibold, the play's musical think tank, and the experienced director Markus Steinwender, the audience experiences a rapid rollercoaster ride in the otherwise contemplative Christmas season. With lots of music, Max and Moritz bring their endearing mischief to the Martini Park stage in “Laurel & Hardy” style. That will be fun! Because as we all know, schadenfreude is the most beautiful joy!
